| I skipped out on church to spend the day with Lawrie - and I think I'm in love.

| Whoa, THAT was weird. I logged onto my "post a blog entry" screen and coulda sworn I heard cobwebs being torn away right through the Xanga computer system.
OK, so here are the usual excuses: 3, 27, 14 and 256. (To save everyone's time I just numbered them.)
Speaking of the youth group (random diversion) I am totally psyched! You guys blow my mind. And you really challenge me.
OK, here's a little gereontological lesson: when you get to be older, it's considered impolite to ask someone of your own age how they're doing in their quiet times, etc. It's also rather rude to suggest trying something difficult, no matter how biblical. Like, fasting, say.
But when you're young, you're up for almost anything! What an awesome privilege to be working with you guys. And I can't imagine what God is going to do in your lives, our church, and our city this spring. We really are impacting the next generation.
Fasten your spiritual seat belts (ie. stick close to God) and hang on. I'm sure it's going to get rough. | | |
| Man, has it really been 3 months since I've updated? Sorry guys. The new job is taking a lot of time (well, I guess no more than any other 40 hr/week job would take, but I'm not used to being gone that much.)
Meanwhile, all the other ministry stuff still has to be carried on. And there are these really time consuming entities called children. Oh well, guess there are worse places I could be spending my time.
It's Thanksgiving, the turkey's smelling awesome, the house is clean and ready to be trashed by about 18 people who will soon be in it. And I can't wait. Mrs. M has been working non-stop since about 8 this morning (I think. I didn't get up until like 9 something - latest I've slept in since I can remember.)
Have a blessed Thanksgiving everybody. And don't forget to be thankful to the One who truly made it all possible.
P.S. - Wish I could be a little brother of Jackie.

| When I first saw Mrs. M...

| OK, so I'm listening to NPR this afternoon and they feature this video clip off of utube of a Korean guy playing the electric guitar. Whoopee. But check this out - it's Pacabell's Canon. OK, so it is obviously an ad for Canon, but still, the guy is awesome.
Watch it here
That's all!
